My journey to creating Purely Boxed began with a life-altering moment in 2020, when I heard the words, “You have cancer.” Although diagnosed at Stage 1, the fear and uncertainty were overwhelming. The hardest decisions loomed before me as I navigated the medical landscape, choosing a treatment path that would shape my future. Enduring two surgeries and weeks of daily radiation during the global pandemic was an ordeal I never anticipated. I juggled my recovery while managing my daycare, often leaving work to undergo radiation treatments, which took a significant toll on my body and spirit. Compounding my struggle were the financial burdens that accompanied my diagnosis; as my husband and I faced mounting medical bills, we also contended with the loss of income. During this challenging time, I became increasingly aware of what I was putting into my body and onto my skin.
