Hello, I’m Chrissy Gallarello. I’m certified in both Holistic Nutrition and Health & Wellness. My journey to creating Purely Boxed began with a life-altering moment in 2020, when I heard the words, “You have cancer.”

Although I was diagnosed at Stage 1, the fear and uncertainty were overwhelming. The hardest decisions loomed as I navigated the medical landscape, choosing a treatment path that would shape my future. Enduring three surgeries and weeks of daily radiation during the global pandemic was an ordeal I never anticipated.

At the same time, I was managing my pre-school, often leaving work to undergo radiation treatments—an experience that took a significant toll on both my body and spirit.

During this challenging time, I became increasingly aware of what I was putting into my body and onto my skin. I began scrutinizing product labels, discovering harmful chemicals hidden in everyday items. Driven by a need to protect my health, I eliminated the microwave from our home and revamped my daycare’s food program to feature wholesome, dye-free meals, ensuring the children in my care received proper nutrition.

As I healed, my passion for wellness deepened. I pursued certifications in holistic nutrition and health, igniting a mission to share the luxury of pure, clean living with others. Purely Boxed was born from that desire—a quarterly subscription box delivering carefully curated, chemical-free products that embody the standards I hold dear.

Purely Boxed started with my own health. Going through cancer changed the way I looked at almost everything, including the everyday products I'd been using for years without a second thought. Cleaners, lotions, laundry soap, the things sitting under the sink and on the bathroom counter. I started reading labels and realized how many ingredients I couldn't pronounce, and how little I actually knew about what I was bringing into our home.

The hard part wasn't caring. It was the overwhelm. Every product seemed to have a different claim, every article said something different, and cleaning up our routine felt like a full-time job. I kept thinking there had to be an easier way for someone who wanted to make better choices without turning it into a research project.

That's why I built Purely Boxed. We do the digging so you don't have to. Every product we send is curated and vetted with lower-tox, clean-living standards in mind, so what shows up at your door is already sorted. No perfect overnight overhaul, no pressure, just cleaner swaps you can actually stick with.

I believe in progress over perfection. You don't have to change everything at once. You just have to start, one product at a time, and let it build from there. That's the whole idea behind what we do here in Franklin, Tennessee.
